Up first, the guys share the simple spaghetti bolognese that makes them swoon.

Thanks, Petra for the compliment! Well the honest truth is pretty much any home-cooked meal, but I think we would both agree that there is an art to doing something as simple as Spaghetti Bolognese…..

The Always-Amazing Spaghetti Bolognese
What you need:
1¾ oz butter
2½ oz smoked bacon
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 bay leaves
400g/14oz minced beef
220ml/7¾fl oz crushed tomatoes
1/2 bottle red wine
7fl oz vegetable Stock
How you’ll do it:
Melt the butter, brown the bacon and then add the onion and cook until soft, you can add other things that are floating around you fridge (carrots, celery, mushrooms). Then add the beef break it up and cook until nicely browned, add the wine and bring to a simmer, then add the tomatoes and stock and let simmer for about 1 hour, adding a splash more wine if needed.
