"It's always a great vibe when I walk in, say, "good morning," to my staff, and start the work day."
7 a.m. iPhone alarm goes off. Quickly glance at # of emails. Hit sleep for another 30 minutes.
7:30 a.m. Alarm goes off again. Stay in bed, in and out of sleep for next 10 minutes.
7:40 a.m. Read important emails.
7:50 a.m. Put the kettle on the stove for some French press coffee (usually Stumptown “hair bender” blend).
8:00 a.m. Wake up my daughter, Sofia, give her clothes for the day, ask her what she wants for breakfast, convince her not to have waffles again. She settles for toast and fruit.
8:30 a.m. Finish up breakfast, brush and braid Sofia’s hair and get her packed up, out the door and off to school.
8:45 a.m. Change into running gear, head out the door for a four-mile run in Prospect Park.
9:30 a.m. Grab a juice at the juice bar, Back to the Land, head home for a shower, think about outfit for the day.
9:50 a.m. Towel-dry hair, blow out my bangs.
10:00 a.m. Sit in window, apply Clarks botanical Cellular Lifting Serum, La Mer Concentrate, Chantecaille Ultra Sun Protection and a bit of makeup.
10:15 a.m. Try on an outfit, remember another outfit idea I had, dig through vintage clothing stored under bed, find shirt I was looking for, change, try on shoes, brush teeth.
10:30 a.m. Call car service. Answer emails and text messages on way to studio.
10:50 a.m. Get to studio and store at 147 Sullivan St. It’s always a great vibe when I walk in, say, “good morning,” to my staff, and start the work day.
