With the launch of her new smoothie & juice bar, GLOW BIO, celeb nutritionist (hello, Channing Tatum's abs) Kimberly Snyder gives us the insider info on all things green.
I’m so excited about this story because it’s about the brilliant, smart, sexy and super inspiring, Kimberly Snyder. Now, if you’re not familiar with Kim she’s the lady behind so many of Hollywood’s most sensational (and transformed..!) bodies like Channing Tatum, Drew Barrymore, Dita Von Teese, Vince Vaughn and so on…
I’ve been lucky enough to get to know her and hang out with her in New York home to see where it all takes place…and boy does she know how to work a vitamix! Dang girl!
I love Kim’s book the Beauty Detox Solution and her focus on digestion, food pairing and all that jazz – it’s not ‘easy’ but you feel awesome and it does works. Note to self – I must get back into it..Oy!

I have a few: Multi-colored sharpies for writing out clients’ food labels and daily food instructions, and Indian-inspired gold earrings.
The food that changed my life was/is: Major changes started happening when I started drinking my fiber-filled Glowing Green Smoothie (Stay tuned for the recipe later today!). My energy, skin, weight and hair improved. The next most important food has been the Probiotic & Enzyme salad, which is basically raw sauerkraut. Probiotic-rich foods encourage better digestion, which is key for improved health and beauty. The Glowing Green Smoothie
In the kitchen, I swear by: My Vitamix blenders. I have a few of those too.
Favorite on the go snack: Chia Acai Smoothie
-1 tablespoons of chia
-1/2 cup of water
-1/2 packet frozen acai smoothie package
-1 cup almond milk
1. Soak chia in water overnight in refrigerator.
2. Add chia gel, banana, acai and almond milk to a blender and mix well.
The first thing after I wake up: I have a mug of hot water with half a lemon
Go-to juice blend: My Glowing Green Smoothie. It has fiber, which juices lack. I find it essential for my daily, ongoing cleanse regimen.
Yoga pose(s) most often practiced: I love to be upside down and get a new perspective. Also, so refreshing. So I do a lot of forearm and handstands.
When I want to indulge I: Get a 2-hour deep tissue massage. Or take a quick trip to Western Puerto Rico, which is only a 3-hour plane ride from New York. It has been a great inspiration to me for my nutrition writing and recipe-creating.
Opening GLOW BIO has taught me: It’s been a pretty humbling experience to look up at the wall and see my name on the front of a storefront, and know that I get to be a channel for this information to flow through, which belongs to everyone. It is one thing to start seeing a book you write in different bookstores, but books can be picked up and moved. A brick and mortar store is really…well solid! We’ve carved out a health home in the world where all are welcome. It is exciting and I feel very grateful.
7 Fun Facts About Kimberly Snyder:
1. My favorite colors are green and orange.
2. I cook lots of somewhat complex dishes for my clients but eat very simply for myself- my Dharma’s Kale Salad is almost a daily staple.
3. I’m now 5’6 but a few years ago I was measured at 5’4.5. I don’t know if my posture just got better or I actually lengthened my spine from yoga, but here I am now!
4. I can open young coconuts as good as any islander- right over a sharp rock.
5. Some of my favorite countries I’ve visited are Zimbabwe, India, Thailand and Morocco.
6. The only vegetable I don’t like is fennel.
7. I’ve never had hair shorter than my shoulders.
