HARLEM DAYS HARLEM NIGHTS

Meet David. He's handsome and can work an iron. Oh and did we forget to mention he can cook too? Nice one.

Name: David Anderson

Dish made: Colorful Chicken Veggie Pasta

Hometown: Salem, Oregon

Day job: Cater-waiter

Daily uniform: Work: black and white. Personal: jeans and a beanie—and I like to wear a tie every couple days just because.

In the kitchen, I swear by: Just cooking chicken with a variety of veggies over pasta or rice. Seems to always turn out well. Oh, and fresh garlic and red onions in pretty much everything.

My voicemail message sounds like: Barking orders to leave a message… I should change that.

The taste I couldn’t live without: Hand-brewed, single-origin coffee.

Any hidden talents? I went to college nationals in the 400 hurdles, and I occasionally breakdance…

I’m dying to go to: Peru to see Machuu Pichu.

Latest splurge: New longboard. Love it.

If I could cook for anyone: Cosmo Kramer

Best gift you’ve ever given: I gave my brother tickets to see Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, performed by the Oregon Symphony.

Best gift you’ve ever received: College education

If your kitchen could talk, what would it say: That I get really excited about having a clean kitchen.

My top 5 spots in Harlem: Well, most of the time I like to hang out at my apartment and cook and make cocktails, but I really like Riverbank State Park and Lenox Coffee.

My motto: Look good to feel good, feel good to be good.

Nice. Thanks David. Want his recipe? Email me pippa@sousstyle.com
