Name: Elisa Nalin
Current Location: Paris
Day Job: Stylist and fashion consultant
Daily Uniform: Silk shirt, jacket and pants, all in different colors.
I have a few: Thousands of pairs of shoes
In the kitchen, I swear by: Italian extra-virgin olive oil extra vergine, better if it’s from the Liguria region or Sicily.
The taste I couldn’t live without: Focaccia Ligure
Most incredible dinner out: Da Pina on Panarea Island in the Eolian Islands, Sicily.
I’m dying to go to: Japan
If I could cook for anyone: Risotto all’ arancia (orange risotto) for John Malkovich.
Top 5 Meals:
1. Saute de veau sauce tomate from Le Petit Trianon in Paris
2. Gnocchi de melanzana from Da Pina in Panarea, Italy
3. Anything from Jasmin
4. Pineapple with shrimp, rice and cashews from Krung Thep in Paris
5. Moqueca de peix from Bar do Arnaudo in Rio de Janeiro
My mother taught me: Many, many, many important things like how to make an excellent risotto, among others.
Favorite Recipe: Pizza Ligure—it’s more like a focaccia and it’s delicious!
My Motto : Volere e’ potere, which means, “when you really want something you can achieve it.”
